From: Salmon Egg on 22 Dec 2009 08:02 I have been using the Brother MFC 8650D for several years now. For scanning, I was using The Brother ControlCenter 2. When I converted to Snow Leopard, ControlCenter did not transfer to the new system. I tried to download that from the Brother site, but navigating the site seems to be more obscure than ever. I have not been able to find a download option with control center in the name.

I have a MFC-8660DN multi-function printer. There's a piece of software called the Brother Control Center that lets you initiate scans from your desktop and route the scan to a specific application. ControlCenter (com.brother.controlcenter) is a Mac software application that has been discovered and submitted by users of Aploader.
You should be able to scan directly from the printer app; look in the upper right corner of the printer app, and you should see a 'scaner' button. That will launch the scanner app. If you go to System Preferences/Print & Fax and select the MFD icon, you should see a 'scan' button which will also take you to the scanner app. Finally, Image Capture should also work. email to oshea dot j dot j at gmail dot com.
